Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin had a scare on Wednesday as the team returned to training ahead of their ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 match against South Africa on Sunday. Ashwin was hit on the hand by Umesh Yadav. LIVE SCORE: India vs South Africa ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

Ashwin was batting in the nets when he was hit on the hand, as the blow forced him to come out of the nets. Ashwin did not look in much trouble, which came as a relief to the Indian cricket team management as he took a brief break of about 20 minutes and then resumed batting.  READ: India resume training ahead of South Africa clash in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

Ashwin’s injury scare would have certainly raised the concerns of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the Indian cricket team management, as the rigt-arm spinner bowled as many as three maiden overs in their clash against Pakistan to strangle the arch rivals’ batsman, paving a way for a huge win. India started off their ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 campaign on a winning note as they maintained their domination over Pakistan in the opening clash at the Adelaide Oval. India won the match by 76 runs.

India now take on South Africa, and they will be certainly under lot of pressure as the defending champions have never won a World Cup  match against the African cricketing nation ever.
