Containing all the latest information on the tournament, the site, accessible from www.icc-cricket.com, will be an essential resource for supporters wishing to follow the event, the ICC said in a statement.
The site will also have video highlights from all matches in the tournament, including the men’s and women’s event, as well as behind the scenes interviews with all the teams and leading players.
The match centre will allow fans to follow live ball-by-ball coverage of all warm-up and event matches from the men’s and women’s tournaments.
“The ICC World Twenty20 is the most eagerly awaited event in the cricket calendar in 2012 and we are excited to be able to provide fans with a world-class website to follow the tournament,” said Campbell Jamieson, the ICC’s General Manager – Commercial.
Through prominent sections on the website, fans will also be able to catch up with the latest information from the ICC via its official social media channels including facebook.com/cricketicc and @cricketicc on Twitter.
The tournament will be played between September 18 and October 7.(PTI)
