Virat Kohli’s twin failures in the T20I series in South Africa saw him fall to the sixth spot in the ICC T20I Batting Rankings. Meanwhile, opener Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar made significant gains, riding on their performances in a 2-1 series win over South Africa.
Dhawan topped the batting charts with 143 runs from three innings. He has climbed up 14 places to get to a career-best of No.28. Bhuvi, who was declared the Man of the Series, jumped up 20 placed to grab the 12th spot.
In the team rankings, India have retained the No. 3 spot, behind Pakistan and Australia.
Stand-in South African skipper JP Duminy, who scored 122 runs in the series, climbed four placed to the 24th spot. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan leads the bowler’s ranking following fine performance against Zimbabwe in their 2-0 win.

New Zealand opener Colin Munro regained his No.1 batting spot, while Australia’s Glenn Maxwell moved to the second spot in batting rankings and No.1 spot in the all-rounder’s ranking.
