Nepal’s young 15-year old Sandeep Lamichhane picked up the first hat-trick of this ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016 ongoing at Bangladesh. Lamichhane became the fourth U19 player overall to pick a hat-trick and the first ever Nepal’ cricketer to pick up a hat-trick at an international level. Nepal who are playing their second match of the tournament against Ireland had Lamichhane’s brilliant spell to demolish their middle order as went crumbling down. Lamichhane also in the process claimed the second fifer of the current World Cup edition. Lamichhane at the time of writing this article had match figures of 5 for 20 in his 8 overs with Ireland making 101/ 8 batting first. Gary McClintock became Lamichhane’s first wicket of the match, trying to heave one over cover gave a simple catch at long-on. Gary McClintock became Lamichhane’s first wicket of the match, trying to heave one over cover gave a simple catch at long-on. Lamichanne second wicket was Lorcan Tucker, who was caught at mid-wicket trying to sweep the a flighted delivery. Lamichhane third wicket was Adam Dennison , who in a bid to drive over cover gave it away, giving a catch to the wicket-keeper. Fourth wicket in his fifer was Fiachra Tucker who got cleaned up by an absolute perfect delivery for duck! Fiachra became his hat-trick wicket .
Lamichhane did not stop their he went to take William McClintock as well to complete a memorable hat-trick fifer in his kitty. McClintock was again bowled. The ball sharply turned in and took the stumps as he was unable to connect well.
