THE ODI World Cup is less than 100 days away. The mega event is set to get underway on October 5, with the final scheduled on November 19. The official schedule of the tournament was released in July, however, it will undergo modification due to religious festivals in India.
As per reports, India vs Pakistan match, which was initially set to be played on October 15, will now be played on October 14 due to Navratri. Similarly, Pakistan vs England match in Kolkata on November 12 can also be rescheduled due to Kali puja. However, an official confirmation from the BCCI is still pending.
As per a report in thenews.com.pk, ICC and several cricket boards are not happy with BCCI for delaying the modified schedule of the World Cup. Also, a large number of tourists will visit India and different parts of the country for the World Cup but the tickets have not been put on sale yet.
Notably, the tickets for the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia were put on sale six months ago. The fans are facing huge logistical issues due to the delay as they cannot book the hotels until the tickets are out.
