India played exceptionally well against West Indies. Rohit Sharma played a knock of 57-ball 98 with the help of 9 fours and 7 sixes while Yuvraj Singh scored 31 off 20 hitting 3 fours and a 6 in the process. India’s total went on to a 185 with the loss of 6 wickets after their 20 overs. Jerome Taylor and Sulieman Ben remained the highest wicket-takers for West Indies as they bagged a couple of wickets each.
Chasing the target, West Indies batsmen looked helpless in front of Indian bowling attack. Big-gun Chris Gayle fell for 20 and remained the highest scorer while Andre Russell became the second-highest scorer with 19 runs. The WIndies got all out for 140 with 4 balls still to go. Among the Indian bowlers, Mohammed Shami, Pawan Negi, Rvaindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya got 2 wickets each while Jasprit Bumrah got just one wicket but maintained the best economy (3.00).
