Nigel Llong, gets the nod as the most experienced umpire having stood in 24 T20Is. Llong made his T20Iumpiring debut in June 2005 and is also part of the EMirates Elite Panel of ICC umpires, according to an ICC media release.
The other umpires who will be officiate in the tournament are: Gregory Brathwaite, Anil Chaudhary, Johan Cloete, Shaun George, Mark Hawthorne, Vineet Kulkarni, David Odhiambo, Ruchira Palliyaguruge, Ian Ramage, Ahsan Raza, Tim Robinson and Paul Wilson. The role of match referees will be shared between Steve Bernard, David Jukes and Graeme La Brooy of the Regional ICC Match Referees panel. Teams finishing in the top six of the 18-day tournament, which will consist of 51 matches, will join the 10 full members and play in the ICC World T20 scheduled to be played in India from March 11 to April 3, 2016.
