‘If you really are a good team…’: Pakistan great lays forward open challenge for Team India

India and Pakistan recently locked horns in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy with the former comprehensively beating the latter and eliminating them from the tournament. The recent results from clashes between the 2 teams have been highly one-sided in India’s favour, indicating that the rivalry may very well be dead. However, Pakistan great Saqlain Mushtaq isn’t ready to accept this verdict yet.

in a chat on 24 News HD channel, Saqlain threw a challenge to India, asking them to play 10 Tests, 10 ODIs and 10 T20Is each with Pakistan to establish their supremacy in the rivalry.

“If we keep political things aside, their players are very good, and they have been playing good cricket,” Saqlain said.

“If you are really a good team, I think let’s play 10 Tests, 10 ODIs and 10 T20Is against Pakistan, then everything would be clear,” Saqlain added.

The former Pakistan spinner also admitted that not all is well in the Pakistan team at the moment, but it’s not something that can’t be fixed with the right intent.

“If we get our preparation right and sort out things in the right direction, then we will be in a situation where we can give solid answers to the world and India as well,” Saqlain said.
