Karachi: Legendary cricketer Imran Khan has been appointed as the mentor of the Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday. The 63-year-old, who inspired his nation to their sole World Cup title in the 50-over format in 1992, was roped in to ‘provide vision’ to the Shahid Afridi-led side in the PSL’s inaugural edition. Confirming the news, franchise owner Javed Afridi said that they were extremely pleased with their association with Khan, adding that the latter was the greatest cricketer to have come out of not only Pakistan, but was one of the greatest of all time worldwide, the Dawn reported.
