The Indian cricket team is facing Bangladesh in the second Test of the two-match Test series being held in Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on September 27.
However, consistent rain has made the officials to call off Day 1 with only 35 overs being bowled. The hosts seemed to be in a good position as they managed to get three wickets and put the visitors in a tough position.
The first rain delayed the toss by almost an hour and later delayed the match by 15 minutes.
However during the second session of the day, the rain got too heavy that the officials had to decide and call off the opening day of the match after just 35 overs.
The forecast had predicted a similar kind of weather all through the first four days, which might force this series to a draw. Hopefully, the situation gets better for Day 2 and everyone gets to witness the match without being interrupted.
