R Ashwin and Jonny Bairstow exchanged heated words on Day 4 of India’s second Test against England in Visakhapatnam.

The incident occurred at the stroke of lunch, when star bowler Jasprit Bumrah trapped Bairstow LBW with a nip-back.

As the on-field umpire raised his finger, Bairstow requested a review. However, ball-tracking technology indicated that the ball would have nicked the leg stump, forcing the English hitter to go back to the pavilion for 26.

As he made his way back to the dressing room, Ashwin burst into an impassioned celebration and displayed his aggressiveness in front of Bairstow.

Bairstow reacted angrily at Ashwin’s actions, saying a few things to him. The cameras also recorded the off-spinner speaking to the England player.
