Indian batsmen have been forced into a shell by the South African pace battery after they were tested with short balls and accurate deliveries in the corridor. After Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander created the pressure from both ends, Morne Morkel continued the task keeping both Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara in check.

Morkel mixed it up well to keep Dhawan guessing on a few occasions. Graeme Smith has chosen to attack the opposition with close-in fielders hanging around the batsmen

The batsmen though looked more comfortable against Robin Peterson. Dhawan has been patient enough not to go after the short balls which led to his downfall previously.
