India Cements will face Reliance One, while DY Patil ‘A’ will take on Tata Sports Club in the semifinals of the Rs 12 lakh prize money 8th All-India T20 Cricket Tournament.
India Cements scored a mammoth 232 for 4 in their quarterfinal match against D Y Patil ‘B’, before bowling out their rivals for 180 in the 18th over at the D Y Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai today.
D Y Patil ‘A’, meanwhile, had an easy outing as they easily overhauled the target of 109 set by Air India in the 16th over with eight wickets in hand.
On the other hand, Tata SC and Reliance One had to eke out hard fought victories over Indian Oil and ONGC, respectively.
Tata SC defeated Indian Oil by three wickets with three balls to spare en route to overhauling the score of 177-7 set by the latter.
In another close contest, Reliance One who scored 158-9 in their 20 overs, restricted ONGC to 155-8 to register a three wicket win in their quarterfinal match. (PTI)
