India were 60-3 after 9 overs against Zimbabwe in the first T20 match that is being played in Harare. Lokesh Rahul was the first wicket to go for India. He was bowled by Donald Tiripano. Rahul was out for a first ball duck. He could not continue his amazing run of form from the ODIs. Ambati Rayudu was the next wicket to fall. Interestingly, he was also bowled, but by Chamu Chibhabha. Rayudu made 19 runs off 16 balls before he was out. India were 44-2 at the 6 over mark as Manish Pandey had just come in to bat. Earlier, captain MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bowl first. Zimbabwe were off to a decent start. They lost their first wicket with 33 rusn on the board. Sikandar Raza and Malcolm Waller took the innings forward. But it was Elton Chigumbura who scored 54 off 26 balls in the closing stages of the Zimbabwe innings and took the target to 170 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah was again the pick of the bowlers. He picked up 2 wickets and was economical too. Rishi Dhawan, Akshar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal took a wicket each. Jaydev Unadkat though, went wicketless and proved to be very expensive as well.
India won the 3-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Zimbabwe in what wasa one-sided affair. India’s young squad led by Dhoni proved too much for the Zimababwe ODI side. KL Rahul was the Man of the Series for his splendid run of form.
