India Red captain Gautam Gambhir has won the toss and elected to field first in the final match of the NKP Salve Challenger trophy.
India Red forced their way into the finals after the two impressive wins over India Blue and India Green in two consecutive days.
India Green beat India Blue convincingly on Thursday with help of a blistering century by Robin Uthappa.
Team India discards like spinners Harbhajan Singh, Pragyan Ojha and Amit Mishra, and the Pathan brothers — Irfan and Yusuf, will get another opportunity to stake a claim in the national team at the annual NKP Salve Challenger Trophy.
India Red: G Gambhir (c), Piyush Chawla, Ashok Menaria, Pankaj Singh, Ambati Rayudu, Jalaj S Saxena, TP Sudhindra, Bhargav Bhatt, Shikhar Dhawan, Abhinav Mukund, Yusuf Pathan, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), RP Singh, Jaydev Unadkat.
India Green: Harbhajan Singh (c), Srikkanth Anirudha, Samad Fallah, Iqbal Abdulla, Mohammad Kaif, Abhimanya Mithun, TL Suman, Sarabjit Ladda, Muralidharen Gautam (wk), Ishank Jaggi, Mohnish Mishra, Sumit Narwal, Robin Uthappa.
