BCCI have announced a 16-man squad for the ODI leg of India’s tour of England this summer. Virat Kohli will return as Indian captain after missing the home Test against Afghanistan. India have recalled Ambati Rayudu, while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Siddarth Kaul will return to the squad. Manish Pandey and the injured Kedar Jadhav have not found a place in the side. While Pandey has been included for the T20Is, Ajinkya Rahane, who will be leading India’s Test side against Afghanistan, has been dropped from the limited-overs setup.
India will play 3 T20Is, at Old Trafford (on July 3), Cardiff (July 6), and Bristol (July 8). India have selected the same squad for T20Is in Ireland and England. These will be followed by 3 ODIs, at Trent Bridge (July 12), Lord’s (July 14), and Headingley (July 14). The matches at Old Trafford, Cardiff, Trent Bridge, and Headingley will be played under lights. The tour will be rounded off with 5 Tests.
