The Indian cricket team for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, to play five One-Day Internationals and a lone Twenty20 International against the hosts, will be picked in the first week of July.

“The selection committee is to meet in the first week of July, but the exact date and venue are yet to be finalised,” said a Cricket Board source.

India would be visiting Sri Lanka to play five ODIs between July 22 and August 4 followed by the lone T20 game on August 7 at the Pallekele stadium.

This would be India’s first international assignment since the conclusion of the Asia Cup in Bangladesh in March, 2012. (PTI)
