India Under-19 defeated Sri Lanka Under-19 by 8 wickets in the fifth Youth ODI match, thanks to opener Yashasvi Jaiswal’s unbeaten century. With this, India Under-19 has won the five-match series 3-2. Host Sri Lanka Under-19 won the toss and invited India to bat first. Sri Lanka scored 212 for 9 in 50 overs thanks to opener Markus Maduasa’s 95 and Nuwanadu Fernando’s 56. Left-arm fast bowler Mohit Jangra picked up two wickets for India.

India U-19, chasing 213 runs in 42.4 overs, scored 214 runs in 2 wickets and made the match and series their name. Opener was successful for India and Devadatt Padikkal scored 71 runs on the first wicket. Devadatt scored 38 runs off 48 balls. Pawan Shah scored 36 runs off 45 balls with 3 fours and 1 sixes. Captain Aryan Juyal remained unbeaten 22 runs off 35 balls. Opener Jaiswal scored 8 fours and a six in 128 balls during his superb innings. On the part of Sri Lanka, Manasinghe and Lakshan took one wicket each.
