KL Rahul and Virat Kohli have completed their fifty-run stand in the afternoon session of Day Three of fourth Test between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Kohli had walked into the middle with the score on 97 for two. Rohit Sharma had been dismissed for 53 at that stage.

Rahul has gone on to get his fifty since then. Kohli has played well and injected some positivity in the innings. Kohli has hit shots whenever the opportunity has presented itself. To start with, there was a running misunderstanding between the two, but since then they have been stable.

Australia won the toss and chose to bat first on a good looking wicket. The only change in their team was Mitchell Starc replacing Mitchell Johnson. India made four changes to their team. MS Dhoni’s retirement allowed Wriddhiman Saha to don the gloves. Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar came in place of Cheteshwar Pujara, Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma. KL Rahul managed to hold on to his spot.
