Australia will aim to pile up a huge first innings total when they take on India, on the second day at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), resuming at 348 for two in the fourt and final Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2014-15.
Shane Watson was unbeaten on 61 and Steven Smith on 82, as the two batsmen added 144 runs for the third wicket to pummel a hapless Indian bowling attack on a flat deck at the SCG. Australia will be hoping that they do not lose early wickets on Day Two and their batsmen are able to strengthen their position in this game.
David Warner and Chris Rogers‘ 200-run opening wicket partnership assisted the home side to post a solid 348/2. Warner (101) smashed his 12th Test century while Rogers (95) was unfortunate to have missed out on a deserving century at the SCG.
