Overs 5.3: WICKET! D’Arcy Short gets an inside edge and the ball crashes on the stumps. Khaleel Ahmed wants to hear some noise! He was hammered in Brisbane but he has made a terrific start in Melbourne. Two wickets for the left-arm pacer. Short scored 14. Score 35/3

Overs 2.4: DROPPED! Indian fielding continues to be shoddy. This time the reprieve goes to Chris Lynn whose pick-up shot is misjudged by Jasprit Bumrah at fine leg and he ends up bumping it over the boundary for a SIX.

Overs 2.1: DROPPED! D’Arcy Short gets a life on 7 after Rishabh Pant fails to hold on to a catch. Although it was a difficult chance as Pant dived full-length to his left. Could’ve been first slip’s catch.

Overs 2: A full length delivery from Khaleel and a full-blooded drive from Short through mid-on for the first boundary of the match. Seven runs from the over. Score 9/1

Hello everyone! Welcome to our live coverage from the 2nd T20I between India and Australia to be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Having won the series opener in Brisbane on Wednesday, Australia have taken a 1-0 lead and India are in a must-win situation to keep the series alive.

India clean swept a three-match bilateral T20I series last time in Australia. However, this time, despite the pre-series hype, they have been jolted early and will have to work on several fronts including a settling on a combination to give them an edge.
