Shikhar Dhawan has got to his half-century and India are 103 for no loss at the end of 16 overs in the seventh One-Day International (ODI) against Australia at Bangalore. Meanwhile Rohit Sharma has also played solidly and is gradually picking pace.
Clint McKay has had a tough day so far. He strayed on to the pads off the first ball of the 11th over and it took Rohit’s pads and went to the boundary.
Shane Watson then pitched it short to Dhawan and he pulled him through fine-leg for four. Xavier Doherty was brought into the attack in the 13th over. There was a chance of a run-out in that over as Dhawan hit Doherty through the off-side and set-off only to be sent back by Rohit. The throw from Watson came in, but it was wide.
Drinks were taken after the 15th over and Glenn Maxwell was introduced immediately. The first ball was wide outside the off-stump and Dhawan smashed it through the covers for four. Aaron Finch fumbled at the boundary and couldn’t stop it. It looked like Finch was in a bit of pain as he held his hamstring after the dive.
