Rohit Sharma has picked up pace as India are 185 for three in 30 overs in the seventh One-Day International (ODI) against Australia at Bangalore. Suresh Raina was dismissed for 28 in the 30th over as he was trapped leg-before by Xavier Doherty.
Earlier, Rohit lofted Glenn Maxwell high over long-on for six to get the momentum back in India’s favour. Raina then deftly guided Shane Watson through third-man for a four.
Rohit had got a move on now as he smashed Xavier Doherty for two maximums in the 28th over. He first lofted him straight and it sailed the distance. The next one was dispatched over long-on.
There were a few problems for Australia as Watson pulled up during his first delivery of the 29th over. He couldn’t bowl the delivery and left the ground in pain.
Glenn Maxwell came on to bowl that over and was hit for two sixes by Rohit over the on-side. He made up for the lost deliveries and was gradually approaching a strike-rate of 100. Rohit is on 85.
