So far the ongoing One-Day International series (ODI) for Australia has been anything but a cake walk. They have been completed outplayed across departments time and again by India. It was only in the third ODI at Indore, that Australia s batting looked dangerous courtesy Aaron Finch. Finch s 124 ensured Australia made a respectable total despite suffering a late collapse.

Watching Australia have such a miserable time with the bat, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has requested Michael Clarke to come out of retirement. Harbhajan has tormented Australians the most ever since his hat-trick in the 2001 Eden Gardens Test. Mate u [you] need to come out of your retirement and start playing again I think,” Singh tweeted.

He further stated that the era of great Australian batsmen is gone. Era of Aussies producing top batsmans is over I feel. No quality,” his tweet said. Clarke has retired from Test post The Ashes in 2015.

Both Clarke and Harbhajan are expert commentators on a Indian news channel.

Australia currently trail the five ODI series 0-3. Only saving grace for them will be if they deny India a series white-wash. The ODIs will be followed by a three T20I series
