The England openers Sam Robson and Alastair Cook have started solidly in their first innings of the fifth Test against India at The Oval. England are now looking to set a challenge after bowling India out for 148 earlier in the day.
The pressure is on Robson as he hasn’t scored much after his fifty in the first Test. He does have to score runs. Even Alastair Cook would be hungry as he did not make much of an impact in the fourth Test at Manchester. Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have started off proceedings for India. England are 12 for no loss in eight overs.
Earlier, India were put in to bat after England won the toss. The England seamers ran through the top order until MS Dhoni took control and ensured India touch about 150. His innings of 82 was the saving grace for India and added some respectability to the total.
