Ajinkya Rahane has been dismissed by Moeen Ali in the second over of their run-chase of 181 in the T20 International against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham. In 1.2 overs, India are 10 for one. Rahane scored eight runs off four balls. Shikhar Dhawan is batting and Virat Kohli will join him.

Steven Finn started the innings for England. Rahane worked the first ball through third-man for a single. Dhawan then got off the mark with a single. Rahane too did the same then. Finn was bowling a little back of a length. He conceded only three runs off that over to keep the openers quiet and did not let them get off and running immediately.

Moeen Ali started proceedings from the other end. He bowled a wide first up. Rahane then swept the first legitimate ball for a six over square-leg. Straying on his pads, with the field in, Rahane made good use of that opportunity and swept it powerfully. Rahane was then bowled around the legs as he tried another sweep.

Earlier, England won the toss and chose to bat first. Jason Roy made his debut for England. For India, Ambati Rayudu and Karn Sharma made their T20 International debuts. The captains, MS Dhoni and Eoin Morgan are playing their respective 50th T20 Internationals. Morgan has played a few for Ireland though. Dhoni has played 49 of those as captain. Morgan celebrated the occasion with a brilliant 71 run off 31 balls. That innings helped take England to 180 runs. England smashed 81 runs off the last 10 overs.
