As debutant Keaton Jennings scored a century on his debut for England in the fourth Test against India at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, cricketers reacted on Twitter to the brilliant innings by the player. Jennings came into the side in place of Haseeb Hameed who suffered an injury during the last match. Jennings has had a good First-Class season lately and was picked on basis of his performance. The cricketer justified the selection as he scored 112 runs before getting out and provided England with a solid start against India. He did an exceptional job overcoming the fear of making debut overseas and matching up to the level of an experienced Alastair Cook at the other end.

Jennings thus became the third England batsman to score a century on debut in Tests against India after Bryan Valentine and Alastair Cook. On Friday, England won the toss and elected to bat first. Cook opened the innings with Jennings and himself scored 46 runs. Jennings took things further with Joe Root. Root departed for 21 and Moeen Ali joined Jennings at the crease. Moeen scored 50 before departing and was soon followed by Jennings. With Jennings departing, England had 230 runs on the board with the loss of 4 wickets with Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes batting at the crease.
