Ambati Rayudu was out after scoring a battling fifty for India against England in the fifth One-Day International (ODI) at Headingley. After four early wickets, Rayudu buckled down to score a quick 59-ball half-century, but was dismissed by Ben Stokes soon thereafter.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to field first. Dhawal Kulkarni got to play just one game before being dropped in favour of Umesh Yadav, while Ben Stokes and James Tredwell came in to replace Gary Ballance and Harry GurneyJoe Root’s superb century guided England to a commanding score of 294 for seven. After skipper Alastair Cook got England off to a good start, the pair of Root and Jos Buttler consolidated, while Stokes provided some late fireworks.
