Rohit Sharma may be the most talented Indian batsman on the circuit but his recent performances in the ongoing One-Day International (ODI) series against New Zealand have taken a heavy toll of him. Rohit has not been able to contribute sufficient amount of runs in the ongoing ODI series. In the fourth ODI at Ranchi, Rohit got out to an excellent delivery by Tim Southee off the first delivery of the fifth over. He once again fell prey to Kiwi bowler’s persistence. It was a perfect outswinger by Southee, to which Rohit went for a drive but ended up getting an edge and wicketkeeper BJ Watling grabbed it.
His last big score in ODI came against Australia in the fifth ODI at Sydney in January earlier this year. Since then, Rohit’s scores in ODIs read — 14, 15, 13 and 11. All of these scores came in the ongoing series against New Zealand. Well, whenever Rohit goes with such rough patch in his career, he makes his comeback with a huge score and one can expect that in the fifth ODI. Currently, people have taken to social media to troll him for his inconsistency. Rohit once again lost a golden opportunity to make an impact. We present you with the pick of the tweets.
