India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2014 Match 6: Misbah-ul-Haq run out; score 98/3

Misbah-ul-Haq has been run out for four runs against India in the sixth match of the Asia Cup 2014. Mohammad Hafeez hit one to short cover and Misbah took off from the non-striker’s end. The ball went to Ravindra Jadeja and he threw to Amit Mishra at the bowler’s end. Hafeez stood his ground and Mishra threw the ball at the stumps and Misbah was short.

 

After 18 overs, Pakistan are at 98 for three. Hafeez is on 17 and Umar Akmal is on zero. Pakistan are chasing a 246-run target against India. Sharjeel Khan (25) and Ahmed Shehzad (42) were the first two wickets to fall.

 

India posted a competitive total of 245 for eight in 50 overs after being sent into bat by Misbah-ul-Haq. Rohit Sharma scored 56, while Ambati Rayudu scored 58. Ravichandran Jadeja scored a quick-fire unbeaten 52 towards the end.

 

Saeed Ajmal took three wickets for 40 runs. Mohammad Talha and Mohammad Hafeez took two wickets each.
