India were struggling at 94 for four after 20 overs as Akhil Herwadkar fell in the 18th over, after a fluent knock of 41 against Pakistan in the ICC Under-19 World Cup match at Dubai.
Leg spinner Karamat Ali claimed two wickets in quick succession as India slipped from 64 for no loss in the eighth over to for four after 20.
Herwadkar, trying to play a cut shot, made room but completely missed the ball as Karamat Ali bagged a wicket in his first over of the match. Ricky Bhui was caught and bowled in the 20th over.
Earlier, India Under-19 80 for two after 14 overs in the opening game of the ICC World Cup 2014 against Pakistan at Dubai.
India were off to a flying start early on as openers Akhil Herwadkar and Ankush Bains punished the Pakistan bowlers for being wayward in the initial overs.
It was Bains who started the proceedings for India with consecutive boundaries off Pakistan’s pace spearhead Zia-Ul-Haq in the third over, and Herwadkar joined him with the similar show in the very next over off Mohammad Aftab.
Aftab showed aggressive intent right from the start but his effort had no effect on the openers who scored at a brisk rate to take their side past 50 in the eighth over of the game.
Bains had a special liking of Zia, as in his next over, he started off with a boundary and then clobbered a six over the leg side.
