After winning the toss and batting first, India under-19 have got off to a cautious start in their ICC Under-19 World Cup 2014 match against Papua New Guinea Under-19 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Skipper Vijay Zol won the toss and chose to bat first as his side needs some valuable batting practice ahead of the knockout stage.

Openers Akhil Herwadkar and Ankush Bains would be looking to provide a good start. Apart from the boundary in the first over, it hasn’t been a very easy ride. They are looking to play themselves in. Herwadkar has played a few uppish strokes but have gone to safety. Herwadkar got an edge in the seventh over, but was dropped at point. An easy chance went down. In seven overs, India are 18 for no loss.
