Quinton de Kock‘s fifty has anchored South Africa to 97 for no loss in 20 overs in the first One-Day International (ODI) against India at Johannesburg. At the other end, Hashim Amla is batting on 41.

 

Drinks were taken after the 15th over. Ashwin bowled a tight 17th over and kept both the batsmen in check. de Kock for a leading edge and it flew over the cover fielder and went to the man in the deep. That was another possible chance and the South African batsmen would consider themselves lucky that they are still in the middle.

 

de Kock then got his half century by playing one off Ashwin through the off-side. It took him 54 balls to get there.
