Clouds gather around Mirpur in lead-up to the match

The India–South Africa ICC World T20 2014 semi-final would be played under the threat of rain and in the hours leading up to the contest, clouds have gathered around Mirpur. On Thursday, the West Indies-Sri Lanka semi-final was affected by rain and Sri Lanka won the contest by 27 runs by Duckworth-Lewis (D/L) method.
It wasn’t just rain that lashed the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. There was a strong hailstorm and that washed out any chances of play. As the England women played the South African women in their World T20 semi-final, there was a bit of sunlight, but it has now gone overcast.
The lights have taken effect at the stadium now.
