Akshar Patel struck, dismissing Dinesh Chandimal for an agonising 30-ball five in the fifth One-Day International (ODI) between India and Sri Lanka at Ranchi on Sunday. Earlier, Stuart Binny struck for India, getting Tillakaratne Dilshan bowled for a well-made 35 off just 24 balls. Wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella was dismissed for just four to pacer Dhawal Kulkarni. Dickwella was caught brilliantly by Ambati Rayudu. Sri Lanka were 32 for one.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Niroshan Dickwella made his debut at the expense of Kusal Perera, while Kedar Jadhav made his debut for India, coming in for Suresh Raina. Umesh Yadav too was replaced by Ravichandran Ashwin. India have already won the series 4-0.
