India have lost both their openers— Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan  in their chase of Sri Lanka’s 138 in Asia Cup 2016. Angelo Mathews and Nuwan Kulasekara opened the proceedings for Sri Lanka. Mathews bowled a good first over giving just six runs. In the second over, Kulasekara gave the Lankans their first breakthrough in the form of Shikhar Dhawan. The batsman was done in by the angle of the delivery and his poor foot movement. It was a good length ball and Dhawan gave a thick edge to the wicketkeeper Dinesh Chandimal. Virat Kohli then came to the crease with a big cheer by the Indian fans. Rohit Sharma hit Mathews for a four off a fuller delivery. He flicked the ball towards the mid-on region. Mathews came back strongly giving just a single in the next five balls of his over. Kulasekera then sent the dangerous looking Rohit back to the hut. Rohit scored 15 and was just about to cut lose. Rohit attempted a drive off a fuller ball pitched outside off. He was not able to middle the ball and ended up giving a thick edge to Chamara Kapugedera, who took a good low catch. Raina came next and played two dots before hitting a four over mid-wicket. The ball was drifting towards the on side and Raina took full advantage of it; his timing was exquisite. At the time of writing this report India were batting on 33 for the loss of two wickets after the end of six overs.
