India face Western Australia XI in the second warm-up fixture in a 50-over match at the Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) Ground in Perth on Saturday. India will be in an upbeat mood following their victory over the same opponents in the 20-over game in the first warm-up fixture at the same venue on Friday, and will look to keep their sheet in Australia clean before they face the the current world champions in the bigger contest on Tuesday, January 12, in the first One-Day International (ODI), the opening match of the five-game series which will then be followed by three Twenty20 Internationals (T20I).
The Indians had a comfortable run in the first warm-up match, where Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli scored 74 each to propel their side to a strong 192 for four at the end of 20 overs, before Akshar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja (both 2 for 13) and Barinder Sran (2 for 24) helped skittle the opposition out for 118. Among the hosts, Travis Birt top-scored with a score of 74, as India ended up winning by 74 runs (seems like 74 was the lucky number on Friday!)
The official website of Cricket Australia is providing the live-stream of the match. Also, the Facebook page of Optus Sports is providing the live stream of the match. Indian users can also watch the live proceedings on Hotstar via their website, or by downloading their app.
Live streaming has become the modus operandi for most cricket fans to catch the live action of the ongoing matches these days, thanks to the revolutionary progress in the technology involved. The vast variety of smartphones and tablets in the market, as well as a large array of data packs provided by telecommunication companies have only helped our case in this regard.
