Darren Bravo and Lendl Simmons have steadied the West Indies innings in the first One-Day International (ODI) against India at Kochi. After a decent start, West Indies stuttered a touch when they lost Johnson Charles and Marlon Samuels in quick succession. In 24 overs they are 126 for three.

Simmons and Bravo have taken the singles and have hit the occasional boundaries. Bravo pulled Ashwin through mid-wicket for four. Later, Simmons edged through the slip region and it went for four as Mohammed Shami could only watch.

Bravo is on 36, while Simmons is on 19.
