The fourth ODI between India and West Indies at Dharamshala is scheduled to go ahead as planned. Reports have emerged that the BCCI have been given assurance over the logistics. The officials did a hard job as they ran up and down to make things happen and they were finally rewarded of their hard-work which involved some emotional blackmail as well.

According to reports in Bangalore Mirror, the BCCI was confident that the airlines would find it hard to deny to fly the national team, and it did happen as both Air India and Spicejet agreed to fly the teams off to Dharamshala. According to the policy of Air India, they do not run any chartered flight. However, it was apparent that the national carrier could not deny flying the national team as they did offer an ATR (small aircraft) for the team and so did Spicejet.

It is also believed that Anurag Thakur, member of Parliament from BJP, who also heads the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) used his political authority to make things happen. “There was no way we could have staged the game in Dharamshala and we were planning to shift the match to Vizag, but at the last minute two airlines have come to our rescue,” said the board official.
