Anuja Patil – 26, Jhulan Goswami – 25 scored briskly to give their side a chance at victory, but with others failing, India finished a bit short. India were rocketed early on as captain Mithali Raj was removed for 0, which was the suit to follow. For West Indies, Deandra Dottin bowled beautifully to take 3 wickets en-route to a man of the match award. She was well supported by Afy Fletcher, who supported Dottin beautifully. The Indian team suffered another setback as Krishnamurthy was caught for 15 in the first ball of the 4th over. Harmanpreet Kaur was the next batter to come. The scoring dried up for India Women, as West Indies pacers bowled beautifully to restrict them at 26/2 after 6 overs. The 18th over saw India pull the game back, scoring 9 runs of the over, even though losing Anuja Patil for 27. The 19th over saw good and bad for India managed to score 10 runs, but lost Jhulan Goswami for 25. India needed 10 from 6 balls, but ended up needing 5 from 2, after losing 2 wickets in the first 3. They eventually lost the game by 3 runs.
