Harmanpreet Kaur was the star for India Women striking 46 from just 31 balls which has helped India Women to historic victory in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) match against Australia Women at Adelaide by 5 wickets. After Australia posed a plunging total of 140/5 after 20 overs as compared to the shaky start, India Women begun their innings on good note but lost out on an early wicket of their skipper Mithali Raj. Rene Farell picked the first wicket for Australia Women within second over and caught comfortably by Sarah Coyte. Smriti Mandhana and Veda Krishnamurthy secured 50 runs stand and yet were unable to maintain the partnership which could have lead to victory for India Women in 1st Twenty20 International (T20I) match against Australia Women. Jess Jonassen and Megan Schutt picked 2 wickets each. Anuja Patil came in to batting at the 15th over and India were 103/4. India are not far from victory as they required 38 runs from 30 balls and were moving at 6 runs per over. India Women won the toss and elected to field first in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) match against Australia Women at Adelaide. Alyssa Healy gave some finishing touch to the game with consecutive long boundaries and a four leading her side to total beyond 120 runs. She scored 40 from just 14 balls.
