India Women registered a mammoth victory against South Africa Women in the one-off Test played at Mysore. Harmanpreet Kaur ran through South Africa women’s batting order in both innings, after Thirush Kamini and Poonam Raut scored centuries to help their team post a mammoth 400 in the first innings.

For South Africa Women, there were few stand-out performances. Skipper Mignon du Preez scored a century in the first innings, while Sunette Loubser made three quick scalps to momentarily rattle India Women. Trisha Chetty scored a half-century in the first innings, and a fighting 35 in the second innings, but was unable to help her team avoid an embarrassing defeat.

South Africa Women were looking comfortable in the match at one point, when du Preez and Chetty had formed an impressive fifth-wicket partnership. Du Preez was dismissed by debutant Rajeshwari Gayakwad and it all went downhill from there onwards. Harmanpreet Kaur took a total of nine wickets and was the wrecker-in-chief for India Women.
