Indians reached a total of 329 for eight at Tea on day two of the tour game played against Cricket Australia XI (CA XI) at Adelaide on Tuesday. They lead by 110 runs over CA XI. They had earlier started from 178 from five at lunch. Indians lost two wickets of Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Raina who came on to bat after the dismissal of Rohit Sharma started on attacking note as he hammered 14 runs in the the sixth over bowled by Sam Grimwade. Raina scored few more boundaries before he was dismissed by Jonte Pattison. Kohli was was batting quietly on the other end and went on to complete his half-century off 102 balls. Kohli was later dismissed by Matthew Short.

Wriddhiman Saha and Ravichandran Ashwin continued the innings from there. Saha was expressive in his approach as kept rotating the strike. Indians dealt another blow when Ashwin also fell to Short just before Tea. Karn Sharma who came in next who in explosive mood as he thrashed Short for two boundaries and a six in the 81st over.

India resumed on Day Two with the scorecard reading 55 for one after CA XI were bowled out for 219 on Day One. India had lost Shikhar Dhawan for 10, but Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara provided stability to the innings. Both men were unbeaten at the end of the day’s play, and came out all guns blazing in the morning session.
