For the second year running, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has slotted in at ninth place on the list of 2019’s Instagram sports rich list.
Kohli, ranked No 1 in the ICC’s Test and ODI batsmen rankings, earns a whopping £158,00 (Rs 1,357,340) per Instagram post, as per Instagram scheduling tool Hopper HQ.
The list of sports’ richest celebrities on social media platform Instagram is once again topped by Juventus and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who fetches £784,000 per post.
The next best is Neymar, who earns £580,000, followed by Lionel Messi with £521,000.
To determine the richest sportspersons on Instagram, Hopper HQ analyses data based on average engagement, how often celebrities post and number of followers. Kohli has 36 million followers on Instagram.
For comparison, Ronaldo has 173 million.

The rest of the top 10 is rounded out by David Beckham at fourth, LeBron James at fifth, Ronaldinho at seventh, Gareth Bale at eighth and Luis Suarez at tenth.
