Royal Challengers Bangalore need 164 runs to win against Kings XI Punjab after a solid performances by David Hussey and debutant Azahar Mahmood to guide Punjab to a respectable total in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Mohali.
Stand-in captain David Hussey looked well-settled, scoring 41 hitting four boundaries when Harshal Patel bowled him in the end of 15th over.
Mahmood playing his first IPL match, scored a quick knock of 33 off 14-balls.
Zaheer Khan struck early in the match when he scalped Punjab openers Nitin Saini and Paul Valthaty in successive overs.
Andrew McDonald provided the third blow when he dismissed a well-settled Shaun Marsh, who scored 26, consisting of three fours and one six.
McDonald struck again taking the wicket of Miller, who was providing support to Hussey.
Earlier, Bangalore won the toss and put Punjab to bat first. McDonald came in the place of Sri Lankan batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan for Bangalore whereas Nitin Saini, Azhar Mahmood and Miller came in place of Paras Dogra, Adam Gilchrist and Dimitri Mascarenhas for Punjab.
