Cuttack: Apr 22, 2012

Rain has delayed the start of the 29th Indian Premier League 2012 (IPL) match between Deccan Chargers (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Cuttack on Sunday.

The match officials asked the the Barabati Stadium pitch to be covered as it started pouring in. Earlier, KKR captain Gautam Gambhir had won the toss and elected to bowl.

The bottom-placed Deccan Chargers will continue their quest for an elusive victory when they take on an inconsistent Kolkata Knight Riders in their Indian Premier League match.

The Chargers, yet to open their account, would draw inspiration from the fact that they had won both their matches in 2010 at the Barabati Stadium when the venue played host to two out of seven of their home games.

But having lost all four of their matches so far this season, they will have to get their act together against a side high on confidence after defeating Kings XI Punjab comprehensively in their last match.
