Mumbai Indians batsman Robin Petersen, who smashed for 27 runs of Piyush Chawla in the 19th over as Mumbai Indians registered a thrilling win over Kings XI Punjab at the PCA Stadium on Wednesday.

“I had the dubious world record but I learnt my lesson and moved on. Piyush is a fantastic bowler and I am sure he will do the same,” the South African was quoted saying by Mail Today.

“I got a victory for South Africa against India (in Nagpur) during last year’s World Cup. It was the only game India lost in the competition, so I am pretty proud of my achievement,” he said.

Punjab captain Adam Gilchrist, too spoke in defence of the leg-spinner.

“A leg- spinner on small grounds is bound to get hit for a few sixes. Piyush has bowled wonderfully for us so far and today also, his first three overs were very good. It is just a matter of those six balls.
