Pune Warriors skipper Sourav Ganguly expressed solidarity with Yuvraj Singh by saying that the whole team was with him in his crisis time and also advised him to not rush his comeback to competitive cricket.
Yuvraj returned home after undergoing treatment for a rare germ cell cancer in the United States.
“Whether we win or not, my whole team is for Yuvraj Singh. He is a dear friend and has been my colleague.
Obviously, we all have special feelings for him,” he said about Yuvraj, who captained the Warriors in the last season and has played alongside Ganguly in the Indian team.
It is being speculated that Yuvraj may come and watch tomorrow’s match between Pune Warriors and Kings XI Punjab.
“What’s most important for all of us is to see him first.
“Cricket is not the most important thing at this present moment. It’s important that he stays fit, recovers and leads a healthy life before he even thinks of coming back to the park,” he said.
Yuvraj in his address to the media earlier today, said, “I am thankful to god that I got my life back.”
Back in the country after spending more than two months in the US and London to recuperate from a malignant tumour between his lungs, Yuvraj addressed the media to talk about the ‘toughest’ phase of his life.
