Kerala’s most promising youngster, Sachin Baby, was today signed up by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Baby hails from the state’s Idukki district and has been a consistent performer for Kerala in the recent past in junior and senior levels. He was among the top run-getters in the invitational Buchi Babu Tournament and Vijay Hazare Trophy for Kerala.
A left-handed batsman cum off-spinner besides being an agile fielder, Baby caught the eyes of the Royals team management during the IPL selection trials held at Rajasthan.

Baby was the vice-captain of the Kerala Ranji trophy team last season and has also been selected for the Deodhar Trophy South Zone team after his consistent performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
