Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh has claimed that he is innocent and will get a clean chit soon. Vindoo is one of the accused in the Indian Premier League (IPL) betting and spot-fixing scandal.
Vindoo Dara Singh was quoted as saying by ANI, @We will get a clean chit easily, haven’t done anything wrong.”
Meanwhile, Gurunath Meiyappan, the team principal of Indian Premier League (IPL) side Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Vindoo as well as bookie Vikram Aggarwal had about 200 telephonic conversations between them.
This has been revealed during the IPL 2013 spot-fixing and betting scandal probe, being conducted by Supreme Court appointed Justice Mudgal Committee.
Earlier, Meyiappan and Vindoo Dara Singh landed in further trouble as the police said that their voice samples have matched with their recorded voice from the telephonic conversation in which they were reportedly discussing matches and betting details.
Mumbai Police, which is probing the scandal that surfaced in the 2013 edition of the IPL, recently received a forensic report which confirmed the voice samples of Meiyappan and Vindoo matched with the tapped telephonic conversation between them during IPL matches, a senior Crime Branch official said, reported IBNLive.
Meyiappan, who was the team principal of the Chennai Super Kings and Vindoo are currently out on bail. Police have also said that the Mudgal report will further help them in their investigation.
